Spanish nationality by residence

The documents necessary to apply for spanish nationality by residence are the following:

• Properly completed online form.
• Foreigner identity card (TIE), European Union citizen certificate or EU citizen family card.
• Complete and valid passport from the country of origin that includes the entire period of residence required to obtain nationality (one, two, five or ten years depending on the case).
• Birth certificate of the interested party, sealed or legalized, as appropriate, and translated by a sworn interpreter.
• Criminal record certificate from your country of origin, sealed or legalized, as appropriate, and translated by a sworn interpreter.
• Certificate of census.
• Diplomas from the Cervantes Institute of the constitutional and sociocultural knowledge test (CCSE) and the spanish language knowledge test (DELE).
• Marriage certificate, if you are married to a citizen of spanish nationality.
• In the case of minors under 14 years of age, authorization from the person in charge of the Civil Registry must be provided and a training center certificate in the case of school-age children.
